Official Google Blog: A different kind of company name
On April Fool's Day, April 1, 2010, Google changed its name to Topeka in a funny nod to the Kansas capital that wants to be considered as the test site for Google's planned super-fast fiber optic network. Topeka may have a good chance of landing this great project launched by Google.
