Jason Wu's Dress for Michelle Obama'a Inauguration Ball: The Inaugural Dresses

Jason Wu has made it again. He managed to design a fabulous dress for Michelle Obama. It is a custom ruby-colored chiffon and velvet gown dress.

Jason is happy with the public's reception. "I can't believe it. It's crazy," said Wu. To have done it once was already the experience of my life. To have a second time is tremendous."

This is a navy Thom Browne Coat and dress scheduled to be donated to the National Archives. It was worn during the inauguration and parade. Inaugural dresses are usually given to the Smithsonian Museum.

Thom said the gown was designed especially for Mrs. Obama. He was not sure she was going to wear it until she came out with it. "I am humbled..." said Thom Browne.
